研究领域
中高纬度冰(雪)气相互作用及其对欧亚气候变化的影响、短期气候预测等。
代表性研究成果概述
1. 从热动力学角度,揭示了欧亚地区春末-夏初积雪融化对东亚地区夏季降水主要模态的影响机理,并进一步对东亚夏季气候预测提供了理论依据。统计诊断和数值模拟结果指出,欧亚春季融雪第二模态(东西偶极子型)通过影响同期-夏季土壤湿度及其相联系的热通量异常来激发异常Rossby波,进而加强了气候态准定常行星波3-4波,最终对东亚夏季降水南北向四极子型态产生影响;
2. 系统研究了春季北极海冰与欧亚积雪的协同影响机理。在冰雪消融趋势下,二者的协同作用通过激发异常Rossby波源,使准定常Rossby波活动通量向东亚地区传播,促使夏季欧亚中高纬地区EU型正位相模态的出现,对我国夏季北方干旱以及南方水涝有重要影响。基于冰雪两个因子建立的气候预测模型对夏季长江流域降水具有较强的预测能力;
3. 构建我国冬季积雪水当量平衡方程并分析了各项影响因子。冬季积雪主要来自于秋末积雪、冬季降雪,以及积雪蒸发、升华和融化这三个损耗项的贡献。其中积雪损耗项与局地气象条件有关,气温、气压、风速、湿度等因子的非线性作用起了重要作用。
